Noise-resistant video codec of 9600 bps

Common description

Noise-resistant video codec (NRVC) with bit-rate up to 9600 bits per second intended for usage in discrete channels with coefficients of bit errors (BER - bit error rate) 3-4 %. NRVC it built on the basis of modified algorithm H.263 and the block of channel encoding with usage of the error correcting codes.

The video codec intended for encoding a moving image. Input video format is SubQCIF YUV 4:2:0 (picture resolution 128x96 pixels is applied at 12 bits on each sample) with frame rate 1-3 fps.

To estimate quality of restoration it is possible on files represented below.

Usage NRVC: Transmission of low-frame-rate digital video on low-speed communication channels to the subject noises;

Implementation

NRVC 9600 bps is implemented as C models for PC. Real-time implementation on the base of TMS320C6000 DSP families will be done in near future. Please ask for its parameters.
