Scientific and R&D center of digital signal processing (DSP Center) is a member of scientific part of Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPb SUT) former Leningrad Electrical Institute of communications named after professor M. A. Bonch-Bruevich.

The DSP Center is a union of several scientific and R&D laboratories and a small private company SIAL Ltd - 3rd party of Texas Instruments.

2000- 2007	Completed many projects for russian and foreign customers. Some from them: Low bit rate video coding project HF modems and HF channel simulators project Speech enhancement for transport communication systems project Low bit rate speech codecs 1200-2400-4800 bps Robust low bit rate speech codecs 2400-4400-7200 bps for channel with bit errors rate up to 9-15%. Multi channel speech writing systems with time of sound keeping more than 45 days. Speech information systems for big railway stations and aero ports
1990- 1999	Completed many projects for russian and foreign customers. Some from them: Text-to-Speech Synthesizer (in cooperate with phonetics department of SPb State University) for CNET France Telecom Learning DSP laboratory, LPC vocoder 2400 bps, HF modem. Standard and proprietary vocoders with rate from 1.2 to 16 kbps implemented on DSP of different families. Speech codecs for space communication. Tools and algorithms for voice over IP telephony. Speech analysis and filter design software.
1997	Training laboratory of digital signal processors (MOTOROLA and TEXAS INSTRUMENTS) was founded
1991	Small private R&D company SIAL Ltd. was founded
1990	DSP center joined to State University of Telecommunications as independent scientific and R&D center. First in Russia digital signal processing department was founded in the State University of Telecommunications.
1988	Designed first digital vocoder 1200/2400 bps on the base of Russian DSP KT1813BE1.
1987	DSP center was found on the base of Military Communications Academy as scientific and R&D center in the area of digital processing of speech signals, modems, etc. DSP center - was the first scientific center in USSR focused on using digital signal processors in the communication systems.
